New Tefillin

Tefillin consist of three elements: Parshios, Battim, and Retzuous. Take a look at my Parshios page to see my most popular tefillin parshios. See Below for more infrmation on Battim.

If you would like to own new tefillin battim consider battim made by the Stark Family.

* The Stark family has been making battim for generations.
* I have over fifteen years of experience with Stark Battim.
* They come recommended by Rabbi Yaakov Michael and Rabbi Nachmen Guttman, two well known battim machirs.
* They stand behind their work.
* They produce battim that are so strong and well made you will pass them down to your children.
* Stark Battim are made without production shortcuts common in many other battim.
* Hashgachah (Rabinical supervision) from the very beginning until the very end, including the final painting process.
* Several levels of battim are available at various prices.

Price list for Stark Battim

* Meir Regular Battim: $380.00 These are my most popular battim.
* Meir Avodas Yad: $490.00 These battim are prudos (the four compartments are completely separate all the way to the bottom with no glue). The shins are made by hand
* Meir Avodas Yad Mikshah: $580.00 These battim have all the features of the Meir Avodas Yad with the addition of being mikshah, meaning that there are no filler peaces of leather in the titorah (base part of the battim).
* Meir Avodas Yad Miksha White: $850.00 These are the same as the Meir AVodas Yad Mikshah except that I buy them white, and give them to Yehuda Meir Guttman to paint. Before they are painted I see if there are any imperfections. These battim come with a special hechsher from Reb Avraham Tzvi Wosner.

I have dealt with numerous battim companies over the years. Stark Battim are practically problem free. In the few instances of problems, Stark stood behind their work and gave my customers new battim!

You may be wondering… What kinds of problems do I see with other battim that I don’t see with Stark? I have never seen a Stark bayis bend on the bottom. I cannot remember ever seeing the paint bubbling and pealing. They stay square even when they are prudos (separated with no glue).
